Junior Software Developer

We're not actively recruiting for this role right now...

...But we're always interested in talented people. Feel free to apply as detailed below and we'll keep your details to hand ready for the next time we have a vacancy.

Do you love to create beautiful things with code?

Do you want to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, with occasional travel to TV studios around the UK and beyond, and the chance to learn new skills and develop a career in the TV software industry?

We are looking for a junior developer to join us at our Shropshire base in Much Wenlock on a permanent basis. We currently use C# and XAML, some HTML and javascript, and a range of third party systems including the VizRT real-time graphics rendering platform. Experience in any of these is an advantage, but proven abilities in any language will be considered.

What's most important though is your passion for programming - whether you've just left school or college, or you're currently a refuse collector by day but spend your evenings programming your Raspberry Pi.

If you were to join our team your time would be split between working on Ignition implementation projects (both from our Shropshire office and on customer sites), and also on our core Ignition libraries.

We're offering a starting salary of £18-24k.

Our workplace is friendly and informal, and our company is growing steadily. These case studies should give you a flavour of our typical projects:

How To Apply

We will only consider applications accompanied by this short assignment.

We'd like you to undertake this assignment as part of your initial application because the code you write will tell us more than any CV or covering letter could about you as a programmer. And if you don't find this interesting or fun, then maybe this isn't the right job for you!

We'll give every submission fully considered and constructive feedback, and you're pretty much guaranteed an interview unless we think your approach and code is completely hopeless.

Please send your completed assignment along with a covering note and your CV to recruit@idonix.com.

Please note that we are not taking applications through recruitment agencies.
